Garage Storage

The type of garage you have will determine what kind of storage solutions you need. Walls are the first concern, if you have wood walls you'll be able to more easily attach storage to your walls. If you have cinder block, concrete, stone, or brick walls it's usually easier to use free standing shelves. Another concern is the ceiling. Does your garage have flat ceiling with trusses or floor joists? If so, hoists and other options ceiling mounted storage options are easier to install. If you have an angled cathderal style roof you may still be able to hang from the ceiling, but it will require different solutions. Another consideration is whether you own or rent your garage.
